Year 1 Teacher – Leighton Buzzard – £180 to £230 per day

Are you a qualified Primary Teacher or ECT looking for a new part-time teaching opportunity in Leighton Buzzard?

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis.

The successful candidate will work Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with a start date available next week or shortly afterwards.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher looking for a consistent part-time role within a supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons to a Year 1 class.

• Follow and deliver the KS1 curriculum effectively.

• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.

• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.

• Monitor, assess and record pupil progress.

• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.

• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider school staff.

• Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.

• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.

Requirements

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.

• ECTs are welcome to apply.

• Previous experience teaching within a primary school is desirable.

• Experience working within KS1 / Year 1 is advantageous.

• Strong knowledge of the Primary and KS1 curriculum.

• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

• A positive, enthusiastic and committed approach to teaching.

• Availability to work Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

• Ability to start next week or shortly afterwards.
