Transformation & Improvement Lead

Contract | Inside IR35 | Up to £700 per day

A large public sector organisation is seeking experienced Transformation & Improvement Leads to support the delivery of a significant transformation programme.

We are looking for strategic leaders with a proven track record of driving complex organisational change, service improvement, and transformation initiatives across large and diverse organisations.

The Role

As a Transformation & Improvement Lead, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering transformational change across multiple service areas. This is a senior-level position requiring strong stakeholder management, programme leadership, and the ability to influence at executive level.

This role extends beyond a traditional Programme Manager position and will suit candidates who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of large-scale transformation and improvement programmes.
• Drive organisational change and service redesign initiatives.
• Engage and influence senior stakeholders, including executive leadership teams.
• Develop and implement improvement strategies that deliver measurable outcomes.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency, innovation, and service enhancement.
• Ensure programmes are delivered to agreed objectives, timelines, and benefits realisation targets.

You will ideally have:

• Significant experience leading transformation and improvement programmes within large, complex organisations.
• Strong programme, change management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience operating at a strategic level while maintaining oversight of delivery.
• Excellent communication and influencing abilities.
• A track record of delivering sustainable organisational improvements and transformation outcomes.
