Trainee Estimator / Quantity Surveyor
Dunstable, Bedfordshire
Salary up to £30,000 | Full-time | 8am–5pm
25 days’ holiday | Bonus | Pension | Full training

This is a good opportunity to start or develop a career as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor with a construction company in Dunstable. The role is open to school leavers, trainees and candidates who already have some experience in estimating or quantity surveying.

Working with the estimating and commercial team, you will learn how construction projects are priced and managed from the first enquiry through to completion. Projects include education, commercial fit-out, refurbishment and healthcare schemes valued from £1m to £10m.

Trainee Estimator / Quantity Surveyor duties

• Assist with construction estimates, tenders and quotations

• Take measurements from drawings and specifications

• Obtain prices from subcontractors and suppliers

• Compare quotations and check costs

• Assist with cost control, valuations and commercial reports

• Visit sites when required and work with the wider project team
