Site Manager (Demolition Works)
Bedford / Milton Keynes Area (MK43)

A leading contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a major development project in the Bedford / Milton Keynes area.

The initial phase of the project involves the demolition of a number of existing residential properties ahead of the main construction works. As a result, we are looking for a Site Manager with previous demolition experience who is confident managing demolition contractors and overseeing works safely through to completion.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile scheme at an early stage and play a key role in preparing the site for the next phase of development.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing demolition and enabling works on site
• Coordinating subcontractors and daily site activities
• Ensuring works are delivered safely and in accordance with programme
• Conducting inductions, toolbox talks and site inspections
• Managing RAMS, permits and site documentation
• Liaising with project teams, consultants and stakeholders
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance
• Monitoring progress, quality and programme delivery

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Site Manager on demolition projects or demolition packages
• SMSTS
• CSCS Card
• First Aid at Work
• Strong knowledge of site health and safety procedures
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to manage subcontractors and drive works on site

Desirable (but not essential)

• CCDO qualification
• Demolition Supervisor or Demolition Management experience
• Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS) or Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC)
• Asbestos Awareness
• Experience delivering enabling works packages
