Residential Support Worker

Children’s Residential Care

📍 Milton Keynes
💷 £14.75–£15.25 per hour
⏰ 40 hours per week

We are recruiting a Residential Support Worker to provide safe, nurturing and child-centred care to children and young people within a children’s residential home.

As a Residential Support Worker, you will:

• Provide emotional, practical and social support.
• Safeguard and promote children’s welfare.
• Follow care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support plans.
• Support education, activities, life skills and independence.
• Build positive, trusting relationships.
• Support positive behaviour, including PBS approaches.
• Complete records, reports and handovers.
• Undertake Key Worker responsibilities.
• Work with families, social workers, schools and other professionals.
• Support personal care and medication where trained.
• Work shifts including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.

About You

• Level 3 Residential Childcare / Children & Young People qualification, or willingness to work towards.
• Experience in children’s residential care is desirable.
• Experience supporting emotional, behavioural or complex needs.
• Caring, patient and resilient with strong communication skills.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Full UK driving licence.
