Internal Sales & Technical Support Co-ordinator

Location: Milton Keynes

Position: Full-time, office-based

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum

Holiday: 24 days + bank holidays

Benefits: Company pension + Private Medical Insurance after qualifying period

Start date: ASAP

Working hours:

Monday–Thursday: 8:30am–5:00pm (45-minute lunch)

Friday: 8:30am–4:00pm (45-minute lunch)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Internal Sales & Technical Support Co-ordinator to join our client’s busy team in Milton Keynes.

This is a varied role combining internal sales, customer service, technical support and sales administration. You will work closely with customers and our external Sales Engineers, helping to manage customer enquiries, quotations, orders and key accounts while ensuring a high level of service at all times.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a busy sales administration or internal sales environment, preferably within a manufacturing or engineering business. Experience within the bearing industry would be highly advantageous.

You will need to be confident communicating with customers by telephone and email, highly organised, commercially aware and able to work independently while supporting the wider sales team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide sales and technical support to customers and assist with product enquiries.
• Handle incoming customer calls and respond promptly and professionally to enquiries.
• Proactively contact customers to follow up quotations, enquiries and potential sales opportunities.
• Assist the external sales team with market research and identifying potential opportunities.
• Help ensure customer orders are processed accurately and on time.
• Prepare and maintain sales forecast spreadsheets for Sales Engineers.
• Support the management and development of several key customer accounts.
• Communicate with customers by telephone and email regarding orders, deliveries, quotations and general enquiries.
• Liaise with internal departments to help ensure customer requirements and delivery commitments are met.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales information and provide general sales administration support.
• Provide wider administrative and branch support as required.

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, commercially minded and enjoys working in a busy customer-focused environment.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a busy sales administration, internal sales or sales support role.
• Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Experience within the bearing industry would be highly advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a confident and professional telephone manner.
• Strong customer service skills and a genuine commitment to providing excellent customer support.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and email.
• Strong administration and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
• A proactive approach, with the confidence to use your own initiative.
• A professional and positive approach when dealing with customers and colleagues.
• The ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
