Health & Safety Manager – Roofing & Facades

Milton Keynes | National coverage | Up to £70,000 + £5,000 discretionary bonus | Company vehicle | Comprehensive benefits package

A specialist roofing and facades contractor is looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager. The role will be largely focused on the roofing business, while also providing health and safety support across the wider group of three businesses. Based from Milton Keynes with national travel, it covers roofing, cladding, waterproofing, refurbishment and new-build projects valued from £10,000 to £1.5 million.

What you’ll be doing

• Take day-to-day responsibility for health and safety within the roofing business, covering projects throughout the UK.
• Provide additional health and safety support and guidance across the wider group of three businesses.
• Maintain compliance with current health and safety legislation and help improve systems, policies and performance.
• Carry out site audits, monitor KPIs and follow up actions through to completion.
• Lead incident investigations and make sure corrective actions are put in place.
• Promote a strong safety culture through site engagement, training and close working with employees, clients and subcontractors.
• Support projects ranging in value from £10,000 to £1.5 million across roofing, cladding, waterproofing, refurbishment and new-build work.

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience as a Health & Safety Manager within the construction industry.
• Roofing, cladding, facades or waterproofing experience would be an advantage.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident working with employees, clients and subcontractors at all levels.
• Good planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage deadlines and deliverables.
• Competent using Microsoft Office.
• Full UK driving licence.
