Dispatch Clerk (Night Shift)

Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £31,000 per annum, £14.90 Per Hour
Contract: Ongoing Temporary Assignment
Hours: Monday to Friday, 18:30 - 03:00 (30-minute unpaid break)
Please note that working hours may move to a 17:00 start in the New Year.

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Dispatch Clerk to join a busy transport and logistics operation supporting a major automotive contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can effectively manage dispatch and transport administration processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinating daily dispatch activities to ensure timely vehicle movements.
• Processing transport and delivery documentation accurately.
• Liaising with drivers, warehouse staff and management teams.
• Monitoring vehicle departures and arrivals.
• Updating internal systems and maintaining accurate records.
• Investigating and resolving any dispatch-related issues.
• Ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly and in line with company procedures.
• Supporting the wider transport operation as required

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience within a transport, logistics, dispatch or fleet administration role.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Confident using Microsoft Office and transport management systems.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively.
• Good communication skills with the ability to build relationships across departments.
• Comfortable working permanent night shifts.
