Credit Controller

We are currently recruiting for a Credit Controller to join a small and friendly team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous Credit Control experience who is looking to develop their skills and progress within a busy finance environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as part of a small and supportive Finance team.
• Manage customer accounts and carry out regular account reconciliations.
• Resolve customer queries efficiently and professionally.
• Post payments to the sales ledger and reconcile payments against invoices.
• Handle banking duties.
• Take credit card payments over the telephone.
• Generate invoices through the company system.
• Log invoices with customers as required.
• Raise credit notes accurately and in a timely manner.
• Prepare and distribute monthly system-generated customer statements.
• Ensure all duties are completed accurately, efficiently and in accordance with good accounting practices.
• Maintain and continually develop your knowledge and skills within Credit Control and Sales Ledger.
• Assist with ad hoc Sales Ledger and Credit Control duties as required.

Requirements

• Ideally 3+ years' experience in Credit Control or a similar finance environment.
• A genuine desire to develop your Credit Control and wider finance skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities.
• Flexible and willing to support the wider Finance team.
• Good Excel skills are essential.
• Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A proactive and professional approach to customer account management.
