Key Responsibilities

• Carry out regulated building inspections in line with RBI competency requirements.
• Assess building work for compliance with Building Regulations and associated legislation.
• Inspect a variety of projects ranging from residential developments to complex commercial schemes.
• Review plans, specifications, and technical submissions.
• Produce accurate, timely, and professional inspection reports.
• Build strong working relationships with clients, contractors, architects, and developers.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
• Stay current with changes in legislation, regulations, and industry best practice.
• Support the successful delivery of safe, compliant, high-quality construction projects.

Essential Requirements

• Registered Building Inspector with a minimum competency of Class 2D or above.
• Experience within Building Control, Building Inspection, Construction Compliance, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to manage your own workload and inspection programme.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Willingness to travel throughout Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and Northamptonshire.

Desirable Qualifications & Professional Memberships

• Registered above Class 2D or 2E or 2F or 3G with experience on more complex projects.
• Membership, registration, or development pathway with:
  • CABE
  • Building Safety Competence Foundation (BSCF/LABC)
  • Total Training
• Experience across commercial, industrial, higher-risk, or complex developments.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and competency growth.
